I'm a Math-Whoopin' tutor who loves sharing my techniques for math domination to everyone I can. Prior to tutoring I taught Algebra 1 and Algebra 2 at Blake High School. I now use that classroom experience to assist students of all types; whether its advancing what is already a student's strong suit or developing a weakness into a strength. My mission statement is this, "To help students identify and achieve their dreams and fulfill the immense potential of their talent." Now to be fair, I have yet to hear someone in elementary school say that their dream is to grow up to be a mathematician. Either way, it's undeniable that math plays a large role in every young person's life so why not work to make it a strength rather than an anxiety-inducing weakness? Lastly, just so we can get it out of the way. My answer to "When am I ever going to use this in life?" is as follows....... tomorrow, and the next day, and next week, and next month. It's probably something worth figuring out.
