I’ve been with Volunteer Victoria about 3 year’s. I started of answering phones and greeting clients which I really enjoyed doing very much, I even volunteered at other places like REES which I was there for 2 year’s and I also started volunteering at Salvation Army I only did three shifts before COVID hit and there wasn’t any more volunteer. Will once everything was slowly opening up I went to do another shift as a volunteer, I saw my supervisor offered me a pay position which I had an interview and now from volunteer to an employee and which I’ll still continue to volunteer at Volunteer Voctoria where I still get my support and advice it ado helps me to problem solve without my anxiety and stress get the best of me, I find Volunteer Victoria is a best way to get to know our community and the best thing exploring and getting new experience build confidence which is very important. Volunteer Victoria has taught me everything I know about my community which is great, thank you for letting me share my adventure and experience that I’ve learned from being at Victoria Volunteer, all best 2021.

Well, everything went okay until my CRC. Apparently they need a finger print but due to COVID-19 they aren’t doing them right now.
Thank you for the initiative and compassion shown during this time. My only feedback is the training session could have been a bit quicker, focused, and to the point. 30 minutes instead of an hour. That's it!

Lilaine confirmed how I may share my Criminal Record Check ~ she will be sending a document for me to sign. I didn't receive a call. The appointment didn't take place. I was told perhaps the interviewer had the wrong phone number and i would be contacted again. I phoned the number given, left a message with my phone number. I have not herd anything so far.

I booked an appointment for May 2 at 3:30 with Emily via Facebook. It was confirmed. But she did not contact me. I sent an email and tried calling but to no avail. I will try calling Monday.

The interviewer was very friendly, but not ell informed. She did not have access to my photo-id uploaded to BC211 and could not give me a status of the police records check. Better integration of the systems is needed. Contact took 32 days. This is discouraging.

Booked a Seniors Care hour long session for May 1st @ 10:00 as a prelude to volunteering, downloaded Zoom, opened meeting with ID & password but message remained-waiting for host to start this meeting-from 10:00 hrs to 11:00. Tried on desktop plus iPad...same message & no access to meeting. If it actually happened? Lisa Mort-Putland was the contact host... Jane Barry
