Thank you, Eric and Man’s Best Friend for training Max. Max was 8 weeks old when we got him, He was not potty trained and chewed on everything and everyone. Now he is totally house and crate trained. He gets so excited to show off all of the commands he has learned. We are pleased with his obedience and look forward to going far in his protection training. He is still a puppy and we expect great things in the future.
If you are hesitant about having your dog trained at Man's Best Friend, PLEASE read this review. I recently had my english mastiff Belle trained at Man's Best Friend and the difference this decision made in her life as well as mine is absolutely remarkable! The program is outstanding and Jason is a great trainer. Background: When I got Belle as a puppy, I took her through puppy training at PetSmart and she did wonderful she even did great in doggie day care. I made it a point to socialize her, however, around 12 to 18 months she became very shy and anxious in public. It got so bad that she was expelled from doggie daycare and soon we couldn't take her on any outings for fear that she may hurt someone. We tried other training methods such as Bark Busters but nothing worked. We couldn't have anyone over and we couldn't board her to go out of town. Visits to the vet had to be carefully planned and a few vets even refused to see her due to her unpredictable behavior. This was not a case of a dog being left in the back yard with no supervision and neglected. She is an indoor dog who is extremely loving to her family and those she is familiar with. She is my shadow and loves to be everywhere I am. We even have her brother, who is completely the opposite and can take him anywhere without issue. The training is full immersion for two weeks. At the time, I was hesitant because I was not sure how much training she would actually get. She had already been through obedience training so I wasn't sure how this was going to solve her issues. However, we decided that this was our last chance for Belle to become the dog we knew she could be. I am not disappointed. We left her and I went for a brief visit after about a week. I could not have contact with her during the visit because she would expect to come home so I got to see a demonstration through the window. Even after one week the transformation was amazing. She looked so happy and healthy. When I picked her up after the two weeks she was a completely different dog. I can't even explain it here. She had a sparkle in her eyes and she seemed so much more comfortable with herself. We had a few issues walking her out in public at first, but I called Jason and he gave me some great tips to get her to focus on me and we have never looked back. We have been to three individual training sessions and graduated the program on Saturday. Now we can go to group classes where Belle will get the best benefit of this training. My Belle is now a productive member of doggie society and that is worth all the money in the world to me.
Took our 5 month french bulldog here for the two week boarding school training. She's grown, listens to commands and eager to try her training at home. The trainers are awesome and we are excited to come back for her other sessions.
